RAM (Remote Area Medical)
|
On November 10th, 2007 Focus on Ferals was pleased to assisted at another RAM (Remote Area Medical), under the direction of Dr Bruce Langlois, at a downtown Grand Rapids Low Cost Spay and Neuter Clinic. These low cost spay/neuter clinics would not be possible without the generous funding of Vicky's Pet Connection. All GR area RAM clinics are subsidized by Vicky's Pet Connection. Low-income families were able to get their cats and dogs fixed for $5 and $10, respectively. Over 80 animals were successfully sterilized that day! Again it was an incredible day for all involved. Thousands of unwanted litters will be prevented, all from the events of ONE day and the dedication of dozens of volunteers. We are very proud to have been a part of it, and can't wait to assist in the next one!

Trap In
The Trap in was a huge success!
Lots of donations came in the form of food from Family & Friends. We recieved 4 ginormus bags of Iams food to give to our feral caregivers who have trouble financing the food bill for their kitties.
Many other people showed up with pre-purchased food or bought a bag at Critter Cottage and loaded it into the back of Carol's van. We got about 15 bags of food, several cans of soft food and lots of great towels, blankets, and toys.
The day brought us $786 in cash and check donations!
Thank You to all FOF supporters who came!
