Merry Christmas to us, thanks to Christine Witt, Courtney Hogan, and the Cooley Animal Law Society!!!
They had emailed us asking what items we need for our shelter kitties several weeks ago. They collected a ton of nice stuff we use and always need, then delivered it to us this week. On top of a nice cash donation! We feel so blessed to have our community recognize the work we do, and help us to continue doing it. The kitties always love the treats and toys they get. And it certainly does take a lot of household items like paper towels and bleach, to keep all these kitties clean, safe and cared for.
Thank you so much Cooley...you rock! Happy holidays!!!
Chester was adopted tonight! This family saw him at PetSmart weeks ago, and could not stop thinking about him. Their 12 year old son also could not wait to have his own cat to love and care for. We are positive that Chester will have the best home and companion after seeing the two together tonight. Happy trails and Merry Christmas buddy!!!
Piper is a sweet, slightly reserved little girl who keeps getting overlooked! Mainly this is because her favorite pass time is napping. She can always be found curled up somewhere warm, drifting off to kitty-dreamland. While cubbies and bed-lined crates are nice places to sleep she much prefers to curl up on a warm lap. Don't be fooled by this, though, she loves her playtime, too.
Monk came to FOF with his four siblings. With Monk being extremely shy when he was first put up for adoption he was, unfortunately, over looked and all of his siblings have been adopted. Since then he has become attached to Sheila, a lovely little lady who is just a smidge older than him. Sheila has become his security blanket, and she has really helped his begin to come out of his shell. Sheila can be a bit shy, but once you find the right spot to scratch (behind her ears or under her chin) she melts like butter. Monk needs to go home with Sheila, simply because he would close back up into his shell if he is without her.
Come meet these two tonite from 6-8 at 7962 Clyde Park, Byron Center, MI. 49315 for our open adoptions!
Hello ladies. I have been here at FOF for a few weeks now. I was hesitant to come out of my shell. But Pounce cat treats are simply irresistible. And I also like one of the volunteers here named Susan. She is a brunette and she has broken through my tough exterior. She holds me and I melt like butter. Gina the director is ok too. She gets in my hidey hole and rubs my tummy. I roll and purr. Alas, she is a blonde. And I think brunette is where it's at. I am about 3 years old, neutered, tested and vaccinated. I would love to find my one true love still this year. But since I have no mode of transportation, she will have to come to me. C'mon ladies. I do not disappoint. Meet me during adoption hours; Thurs 6-8pm Sun 12-2pm
